Help Joe After Eaton Fire Loss

Hi everyone. My name is Jeanne Tyson. I'm one of the Directors of Photography on Grey's Anatomy. My dear friend and colleague, Joseph Ressa, lost his home on Tuesday night to the Eaton Fire. Joe has been on our show for the last 20+ years as the Rigging Gaffer, and in that time he has lived in his home in Alta Dena. He had worked on his house to truly make it his own & in an instant it was all gone. I can't imagine what it must feel like.

What I can tell you about Joe is that he has been one of my biggest supporters as I have pursued my craft as a DP. He has kept our show going through it all. He is one of the most critical people that we depend on every day to be able to successfully execute our show. Over the course of a season, we change over hundreds of sets. Joe & his team always have everything ready to go, sometimes with no prep. I have relied on his leadership and decades of experience to light it all up. Not once have we been in a scenario where we weren't ready to go with lighting when call time strikes. He has a huge heart, and puts everything he can into caring for his show, his crew and his family.

Joe was able to get a handful of things as he escaped. Your contribution will help him tremendously at this challenging time. These funds will be used for everything that is needed in the immediate future, such as clothes, temporary housing, and other essentials that won’t be covered by other sources of aid.
