Hi. I'm Julia Zaher, and like you, a friend of Joe Paul, JP, Bingham. JP can use a little help from his friends right now. Actually, a lot of help because of a medical emergency.
Joe Paul landed in the hospital for a week in May. Doctors found a blood clot in his lung and took a liter of fluid off one lung. They diagnosed him with heart failure.
On June 24, JP had quadruple bypass surgery. He spent five tough days in the ICU. Thanks to a talented surgeon and care team, his prognosis is good, but recovery from such a serious surgery will take many months. JP has started cardiac rehab, and his energy is improving.
You can imagine what this means for a self-employed person like Joe Paul. He hasn't been able to work at full speed–or at all–for months and won't be able to do so for many more months.
(Being Joe Paul, he has tried to prove medical science wrong by pushing himself but has learned it doesn't pay to do that. There is always a setback.)
The medical bills are coming in. There are co-pays for rehab, doctor’s visits, and medications (one drug is $500 a month out of pocket). Joe Paul’s new health insurance plan is quite expensive but necessary.
Joe Paul Designs was hit hard by the Covid-19 shutdown last year. This year has also been lean. Honestly, this medical emergency could not have come at a worse time.
Will you please rally with me and all of Joe Paul/JP’s friends, colleagues, and associates to get him through a tough period? If you know JP, you know how hard it was to convince him to let me launch a Go Fund Me. Thank you for showing your love and support by donating!
With gratitude,
Julia, on behalf of Joe Paul/JP
PS - Yes, JP lost a bit of weight along the way! He's eating right and exercising as prescribed.
