Hi my name is Olivia Martinez and my husband or 50 years Joe Martinez was in a severe car accident on 4/29/24 on the 805 freeway where my grandson and Joe were rear ended by another car. Joe hit his head on the roof of the car causing spinal cord injury and was sedated for multiple days as he underwent surgery where the put in metal rods and bolts in his neck. Joe is currently in the icu on a breathing tube, feeding tube and cannot walk. Joe’s road to recovery is going to be a difficult one but my husband is driven and never backed down from any challenges in the 50 years of our marriage.
