Help Joe Murphy and his family after his stroke
Donation protected
Hi my name is Joni and I have been friends with this family since I was a child. We are a close-knit town and I'm sure there are many that can say the same of their friendships with the Murphy's.
As some of you may have heard Joe and Karen Murphy's family has suffered yet another Health crisis. A husband, father and to those lucky enough to call him this "our friend Joe" is it need of us rallying together as Joe has suffered a substantial stroke.
Backtrack to when Joe was 32 years young and had his first stroke and when his daughter Shelby was five he suffered his first heart attack. In the 15 years of ups and downs of more than one of each of these there have been many doctors visits and bills and the family has managed to just get by.
But now the house will need some remodeling to get ready for Joe's return home and hopefully that pressure can be eased so the concentration can only be on Joe's recovery.
But this time the road is going to be challenging, slow and long.
His speech and right side have been affected and he's worried if he will be able to walk.
Joe's wife Karen is pressed thin with caring for her mother and now more than ever her husband. As both live miles apart and the traveling and not being able to be in more than one spot at the same time is of course impossible.
She herself has helped selflessly in the past to support others with fundraisers to better situations for other families. Every week during racing season you will find her and her daughter she'll be attending the races at Orange County fair speedway collecting 50/50 tickets supporting the driver and the sport. This is a little escape from the reality and the pressures that they have to face daily.
This family has never ask for help because of their pride and it was not a necessity.
They need all of our help to get through this tough time.
Thank you upfront for doing whatever you can.
