Help Joe Knox and Family Through Cancer Battle
Donation protected
Hi Everyone,
Many of you may have seen the Caring Bridge page for Joe Knox started last week to help share health updates with loved ones of the Knox family. On April 11th, Joe was diagnosed with Angiosarcoma, which is a rare and aggressive form of cancer that's reached his bone marrow. He remains in the Penn Medicine hospital, and today is expected to meet with the radiation oncologist. The immediate goal is to shrink the tumor pushing on his lungs that's causing bleeding/fluid build up. He's had a really tough time breathing due to this, but is doing better after a chest tube was placed initially for drainage, and now being drained every other day by his nurses. If the tumor shrinks and he's stable enough, the next goal would be for him to be able to go home to NJ. He would go back and forth to continue chemo. It goes without saying that his overall goal is to continue to reach for a miracle and hopefully extend the amount of time he has with his wife Heather, and daughters Gabrielle (20), Graicen (17), and Gianna (7).
As we continue to process this heartbreaking diagnosis, we want to make sure they don't have to carry the additional weight of financial stress at this time.
Your contribution will help cover:
-Medical costs and treatment-related expenses uncovered by insurance
-Extended time off work for Heather, and of course, Joe
-Daily living expenses as income becomes uncertain
-Travel & lodging near the PA hospital. Lots of coming and going for this family <3
More than anything, we want Joe’s time to be filled with peace, love, and connection. If you’re able to give, please know it will make a difference. If you can’t at this time, please consider sharing this fundraiser to help spread the word.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your love, prayers, and support.
