My uncle, Joe Roberts, life-long Mammoth Lakes area resident, had 5 minutes warning to get out of his home before the Pack Fire consumed it and everything along McGee Creek. Keith, his only child, was at work in town and had no time to save anything. Essentials, heirlooms, photos, hobbies... from snow shovels to can openers to the tools of his carpentry trade, it's all gone. Now, they'll need to start from scratch.
Until the insurance kicks in, your donation of any amount will help tremendously. They're going to need everything, from basics like toothbrushes to jackets and boots to food to shelter as they start the recovery and rebuilding.
Joe, a carpenter, had been building new homes and new lives for people in the Mammoth Lakes area since the 1960's. Now he and Keith are going to need help rebuilding their own home.
Around Thanksgiving, many folks take the time to give thanks by donating to a worthy cause. With Thanksgiving a week away, please consider helping these two very worthy people.
Thank you for thinking of them.
