Help Joe Heal and Recover From Serious Heart Issues

Hi everyone,

I’m writing this today with a heavy heart, but also with hope, because our good friend and coworker, Joe, needs our help. Many of you know Joe as someone who’s always there for others, always putting his team first, and always showing up with a smile – no matter what. Customers adore him and he never comes up short when it comes to joy and kindness while helping customers.

But right now, it’s Joe who needs us.

He’s been struggling with serious heart issues that have only gotten worse over time. What started as something manageable has now turned into a life-threatening condition that’s requiring constant treatments, hospital visits, and future surgeries. He was told two months ago by his doctor that if he hadn't come in for the discomfort he was feeling, he would have only lived 2 years.

As his friend, coworker and manager, I’ve seen how this has taken a toll on him, physically and emotionally. Without family or a support system outside of work, he is struggling to manage the overwhelming feeling associated with major heart issues. He’s doing everything he can to stay positive and keep fighting, but the medical bills are piling up quickly, and it’s becoming overwhelming.

We’ve all seen Joe go above and beyond for his friends and for all of us at work. He’s always the first to lend a hand, share advice, or just be there when you need someone to talk to. Now, it’s our turn to show up for him.

We’re trying to raise $8,000 to help cover the mounting medical expenses, so Joe can focus on what really matters: getting better and being able to continue his life healthy and happy.
