Help Joe Haggard Find Answers and Relief

Hi Fam,

I have been struggling with an as-of-yet undiagnosable health problem that has been destroying my skin and organ health for the last year. I've been too embarrassed to speak about it at any length because, well... It's gross to look at and it feels like I'm making mountains out of molehills, but the pain has become beyond what I can manage and it is destroying my life. After many biopsies and dozens of other tests, I have gotten to the point where I am finally ready to ask for help. I have spent every last cent to my name and decimated my mother's savings in the quest to figure out how to move forward. The topical ointment that provides some relief from the pain (Tacrolimus) is $605 for a 60-gram tube. I have a wonderful doctor, but answers just keep evading my medical team.

My next step is to take leave from my job and travel to the Mayo Clinic where I hope to find a solution. I hate asking for help, it hurts almost as much as this condition. But, here I am asking. Anything could help. I am out of options.
