Help Joe Gonzalez Fight Cancer

Dear family, friends, and loving community,

My husband, Joe, AKA “Nene” was recently diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma. This is a cancer of mature plasma cells in the bone marrow. This caused extreme bone pain in his spine. He completed 12 rounds of chemo and rang the bell on Dec 20, 2022. He is now a candidate for a Stem Cell Transplant which is the next step in his treatment. The success rate is very good. However, the procedure entails weeks and weeks of preparation and a 2-3 week stay at a Transplant House.

So, I come to you with a heavy and humble heart to ask for your help in raising funds to pay for the extensive medical bills we have started to accumulate. Every donation, no matter how small, can make a difference in our lives. We will be able to navigate Joe’s medical challenges and focus on his road to recovery without the stress of a financial burden.

Joe is a loving, kind, generous of spirit, God loving man who has always been the first one to lend a hand in someone’s time of need. He is an empathic man who loves fixing cars and playing dominoes. He loves his family including being Pop-Pop to 4 beautiful grandkids. He is a devoted father to Jovany and a cherished brother to his siblings.

I do understand that COVID may have made these past years difficult emotionally and financially and I ask that we come together to provide this support while we focus on what’s important – Joe’s recovery. Joe has a long road ahead and it goes without saying that I would be lost without him.
