Help Joe Cowboy While He & His Tractors Are Down!

Joe Cowboy, a long time resident of Dripping Springs, Texas and local business owner of Joe Cowboy Lawn Care, has recently experienced unexpected medical complications. Being a small business owner, Joe Cowboy and crew, unfortunately do not have the financial privilege of maintaining medical health insurance, which is impacting Joe tremendously during this time.
On Monday, September 4th Joe Cowboy’s wife rushed him to the Seton Southwest Medical Center. He was working on his tractor when he began experiencing severe pain, in addition to a limiting ability to walk and urinate. When Joe Cowboy arrived at the hospital, he was informed that he was suffering from Hydronephrosis; a condition when the kidneys swell and can't get rid of pee (urine) like it should. Joe Cowboy’s condition was brought on when both of his kidneys were blocked by large stones for an unknown duration of time, as well as accompanied by a severe kidney infection.
Joe Cowboy and family were informed that he needed to be immediately transported to the Seton Medical Center in North Austin, where they performed an endopyelotomy procedure the following day. This is a procedure where the doctor threads an instrument up through the bladder and ureter into the kidney junction to cut or burn away blockages and insert stents to help his kidneys heal over time. Had Jow Cowboy not chosen to head to the hospital when he did that night, there would have been a very high probability of kidney failure within a few hours, leaving behind Joe’s five children and wife.
On Tuesday, September 5th, the doctors performed the procedure, however, ran into difficulties as Joe Cowboy’s blood pressure dangerously rose to exceedingly high levels, both prior to the procedure and after. Now that high blood pressure has been added as an immediate concern for Joe as he is monitored in the hospital and moves towards the road to recovery, Joe has been asked to take extended time off from his daily job of cutting lawns in his local community for an unknown duration of time.
We ask for those in the community that know Joe Cowboy as a friend or as a client to consider supporting him during this time with his upcoming medical expenses. Joe Cowboy also fears the post-effects from taking extended medical leave, as operating a business and financing lawn equipment is an expensive expense. Due to the dangerous high blood pressure levels that Joe Cowboy is experiencing, his family worries for him as they look to the future and him facing the added pressures of maintaining, both business expenses and having adequate monies to cover his monthly household expenses.
We are seeking donations to help Joe Cowboy cover his medical procedure and related medical expenses, as well as business expenses, and the next few months of his household monetary obligations. Joe and family appreciate your consideration and donations during this troublesome time.
God bless,
The Botello Family
