Help Longtime Journalist Bounce Back from Fraud and Layoffs

Joe Rutland has had a long career in newspapers and other large-scale publications as a writer, editor and communicator. Despite his success, like other journalists, he has endured several layoffs.

Last week, after searching for a job for three months, Joe was hired as a full-time copywriter by a venture capital company. After depositing checks from the company for equipment, he learned that the checks and the company were fraudulent. Along with being a victim of a scam, he now was out of a large sum of money.

This GoFundMe aims to help Joe recoup the money he lost in the scam and provide him with funds while he continues his job search.
