Help Joe be with his son Louk
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Jen Bruni, and my sister's stepson just had a tragic accident. His name is Louk Thomas and he is a 15-year-old, very active cowboy. He loves all things rodeo, roping, and riding. He has so much love for animals. He is known as a socialite as he loves being around people, always joking and teasing, and making people laugh and have fun. He does not like to sit still for a moment. His family says he is the hardest working 15-year-old they know.
Tragedy struck Louk Saturday night when a gas can blew up on him and caught him on fire. His first miracle was that a paramedic saw the explosion from the highway and drove straight to the house and called 911. He gave him the medical attention he could until the ambulance arrived. Louk was taken to the hospital, then life-flighted to the Denver hospital burn unit.
34% of Louk’s body is covered in 3rd-degree burns. The doctors say he will need 4 to 6 surgeries and will be in the hospital anywhere from 60 to 90 days. He will then need after care and physical therapy.
As you can imagine, this tragedy has taken an emotional toll on Louk’s whole family, especially his Dad, Joe. He lives 8 hours away from the Denver hospital, where Louk will have ongoing treatment. Please help support Joe to give him some peace of mind that he can stay as much as possible with Louk as he goes through all these surgeries and hardships. Joe will need money for travel and to take time off from work so he can support his son through all of this while still paying bills to take care of his family and other responsibilities. Any amount will be very appreciated and will be used to pay for travel and normal expenses while he takes time off of work. Please pray for Louk and his whole family that they will have more miracles come upon them, and Louk will recover and be able to enjoy his active life again.
