Help Joe and Wendy with expenses from his stroke
Donation protected
On Monday March 13th Joe and Wendy Goodchild were returning home from a dinner out together. They pulled into their driveway and Joe put the car into park. At that very moment he was overcome by a major stroke. Fortunately, Wendy quickly recognized what was happening and called 911. Paramedics were able to quickly get him to the hospital where a blood clot was surgically removed from his brain. The stroke has left Joe mostly paralyzed and unable to speak, but his brain function hasn't been lost and he has been able to communicate by eye movements and squeezes of his hand. The doctors say he had no risk factors to have had this stroke and are surprised since he is only 51.
Joe is a fighter and we believe (and have been told) that with hard work he can recover much of what has been lost. In the meantime, Joe will be unable to continue at his job and Wendy will have to miss many days of work to help Joe recover. The family is pulling together to help as well but we want to raise funds for the Goodchild's so that they will be able to pay their bills and focus their attention on Joe's recovery. Thank you for your prayers, support, and donations.
