Help Joe and Patti Rebuild After Cancer Battle

Hello,

My name is Joe Corey, and I’m reaching out with a heavy heart during a time of deep struggle. The weight of mounting medical bills and ongoing therapy costs has become overwhelming, and it’s hindering my ability to continue the care I so desperately need.

My journey began in 2020 when at the height of the Covid 19 Pandemic, I was diagnosed with bladder cancer. The diagnosis turned my life upside down, I’ve since undergone numerous treatments, surgeries, and months of rehab. For a while, I thought I might see the light at the end of the tunnel—until a severe reaction to a medication prescribed by my doctors left me with life-altering consequences. The drug caused my muscles to deteriorate to the point where I lost the ability to walk, lift, or even speak. While I’ve regained some speech and a bit of strength in my arms, my legs remain mostly immobile. Despite ongoing physical therapy, I can only walk short distances with a cane, and standing for more than a minute or two is still impossible.

The therapy and medications I need to continue my recovery are critical, but the financial strain has become just too much to bear. It’s preventing me from moving forward with the treatment I need to rebuild my health. For most of my life, I’ve dedicated myself to helping others in need, never imagining I’d find myself in a position where I would need to ask for help.

That’s why I’m turning to you. Any contribution, no matter how small, will go directly toward my therapy, medications, and the overwhelming medical bills that continue to pile up. Your generosity will allow me to focus on healing and recovery, rather than worrying about how I’ll cover the costs.
