Help Joe and Missy Rebuild After Tornado
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Jené. I’m the daughter of Joe and Missy Roberts, two of the most hardworking and giving people I know. I’m writing this with a heavy heart because, right now, they need help—and asking for it themselves just isn’t in their nature.
A devastating tornado recently tore through London, Kentucky, where they live. In just minutes, it left their home and property in ruins.
Their home was damaged, and my stepdad Joe lost his workshop—which he used daily for his carpentry business. His truck, the vehicle he used to get to jobs and haul materials, was completely destroyed. The storm also damaged their chicken coop and wiped out the goat pen, leaving not only emotional loss but also serious financial hardship.
They’re now facing the overwhelming task of:
• Repairing their home and rebuilding the workshop
• Replacing essential tools and equipment
• Covering insurance deductibles and bills
• Trying to get back on their feet while their source of income is gone
Normally, I would be right there by their side helping them clean up, organize, and begin again. But I live over two hours away—and I just had a C-section less than two weeks ago, so I can’t be there physically. Creating this fundraiser is the best way I know to support them from where I am.
They’re proud people who don’t like to ask for help, but this time they truly need it. And every bit of support—whether it’s a donation, a share, or a kind word—means the world to our family.
Thank you for taking the time to read their story and for caring.
With love and gratitude,
Jené
