My name is Joe Allen. I'm currently a manager at a playground manufacturing company in Milwaukee, but my dream is Alaska. Years ago, while working my way through school fresh out of jail, I met the Door County sled dog team. This was a pivotal moment in my life, getting me away from a life of crime and into the world of dog powersports. Since that moment, my life has been dedicated to my dogs.

I'm currently living in Milwaukee and for years have loved building playgrounds. My team of rescue dogs, Odin, Tikanni, Tanuki, and WallE, get to come to work with me every single day. To say my life revolves around my pups is a gross understatement.

Now, after years of hard work, I'm finally ready to make the leap to chase my dream. I have the amazing opportunity to follow the fantastic Jaye Foucher and the Sibersong sled dog team to help them run the Iditarod. The goal is to meet her and the team in Fairbanks, Alaska, in about a month!!! I'm overwhelmed with joy for this next chapter in my life to begin. Although I still have a ton of work to do in order to get ready, I continue to check off major goals to make this dream happen. This is all quickly becoming a reality, but I could really use some help to make it all happen.
