My names Deliah Baker and I am creating this on behalf of my sister Hannah Baker and her fiance Joseph Barrows. Wednesday October 29th, Joe woke up unable to catch his breath. His fiancé Hannah immediately got him laid down and was unable to find a pulse. She proceeded to call 911 and then began chest compressions and CPR while waiting for the ambulance to arrive. Once they arrived they had to perform life saving measures as Joe had gone into cardiac arrest. Once they were able to find a pulse, they rushed him to Norwich Hospital. While being at Norwich, Joe went into cardiac arrest two more times before finally being transferred to Syracuse. Hannah had remained at his side the entire, while still managing to care for their 2 year old son Ace who is battling cancer but was supposed to be receiving his final round of chemo and completing his bell ringing ceremony the very next day. Since arriving at Syracuse, Joe has undergone two procedures and had permanent defibrillator placed. He was diagnosed with a very lethal irregular heart rhythm. Due to this, Joe is unable to drive for the foreseeable future meaning he can no longer work. He is the sole financial provider as Hannah is unable to work due to Aces medical complications and now taking care of Joe as well. This family has gone through more in the last year than most of us could survive in a lifetime. On top of all of this, their vehicle is now broken down, making it difficult for them to travel back and forth to appointments and arrange help with Ace. They are also having to put an addition onto their home as Joe can not be going up and down stairs and they only have an upstairs bathroom at this time. I know that times are difficult for everyone right now but please if you can spare anything it would be greatly appreciated. Please also share this story.
