My name is Jody, and I am 61 years old. Last July, I was downsized from my company, which has been a difficult transition. On top of that, I have been managing type 2 diabetes for some time. For many years, I was a tobacco user and, as a result, I neglected my dental health. About a month ago, I lost my last molar, which finally pushed me to seek professional help about what could be done to save my mouth.

When I visited the dentist, I learned that I have severe infections in my mouth. This news was not only overwhelming but also frightening, as these infections are not just affecting my oral health—they are making it much harder to manage my diabetes. The dentist explained that my only real option at this point is to get full dental implants. Unfortunately, my current dental insurance through the state only covers a small portion of the cost, and the procedure is far beyond what I can afford on my own. I am hoping to schedule the procedure the week of March 9th, 2026, so I can move forward with treatment and have many more healthy years with my grandchildren.

I want to first say how incredibly thankful I am to everyone who is able to help with this procedure. All that know me also know I do not know how to ask for or accept help very often. I am just finding myself in a bad place that is going to be challenging to overcome but I am also praying that people are able to assist as they can. I am forever grateful for this platform and the ability to reach so many.
