Help Jody Get Life-Saving Dental Surgery

My name is Kayla and I am hosting this GoFundMe for my mom. My mom is Jody and she is in need of some help. My mom does NOT ask for help, hence why I am the one hosting this GoFundMe for her.

My mom has not had medical insurance or disability payments because she claims she doesn't want to depend on others. She has not worked in years due to pain issues and the fact that she wants to be there for her grandchildren whenever they need a sitter. She has a stable living situation as of right now with her boyfriend. She makes no money for herself though except for some side jobs and from helping out other people when she can. She does so much for others but never helps herself and right now she really needs help from her years of neglect.

She has had a few teeth bothering her for YEARS, and she would just go to the doctor or hospital when they started to act up and get antibiotics and steroids. She has no dental insurance either. The hospital won't just take the infected teeth out; she has to be seen by an oral surgeon to have them removed. She can never come up with the money for the oral surgeon.

Now, a few days ago she did the usual hospital visit for her severely swollen face and abscessed teeth but this time, after all the antibiotics and steroids they could give her, it didn't work. The doctor said if these meds didn't work she needs to go back in ASAP and have surgery to get not only her teeth removed but also a big part of her jaw bone as well as it's all infected. I've worked in the hospital for years and I know how this can end if she doesn't get help. She will end up going septic from infection and die. She needs this surgery so she can be done with the years of pain and suffering and have her life back.

I'm not only scared for her but for her grandchildren. They ADORE her and need her so much. I don't want to have to tell them she passed away because of a tooth infection. We have tried coming up with as much of the money as we can but it's just not good timing. She needs $6000 in order for the oral surgeon to see her and do the surgery that needs to be done. P.S. Please don't mention this to Jody if you know her. I'm not going to tell her about any of this until after she can be done with surgery because she would be upset that we asked for help.
