Hello there! My name is Jodi and I'm 54 years old. I am disabled and live alone with my furry friends - a dog and a cat. They are my constant companions and help me stay grounded. Unfortunately, my car was wrecked in March 2019 while my neighbor was driving it to work. I let her borrow it before and I was just grateful that she wasn't hurt. I later found out, however, that she did not have her license nor did she have insurance. I only had liability insurance, and the loss of my car has made it hard for me to get to my medical appointments. I have to rely on insurance transportation, but sometimes they are late or don't show up, which causes me to miss my appointments. I also have to ask others for rides to the grocery store, church, family functions, or any other activity I would like to do. I feel isolated and restricted because of my lack of transportation.

While my neighbor did give me some money for a new car, it wasn't enough to cover the cost of the one I lost. I was hospitalized in June of 2019 for 23 days and the money that she gave me had to go towards medical bills in the end.

Unfortunately, she passed away due to an overdose in January 2023 and is greatly missed. I have lost a lot of people over the years as well including my mother and my godson who was only 23.

I'm a patient, loving, and kind-hearted person who believes in Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. I have had many blessings in my life that I'm so very thankful for. I am so grateful for what I do have in life & for the amazing people God has put in my life. And even though I have been hospitalized several times throughout the years, I am still grateful that I am here. I know I have a purpose to being here. I know getting my own transportation will help me fulfill that purpose! I'm looking forward to being baptized again soon. I'm hoping for a breakthrough to become more independent and not have to worry about how to get places, especially to my doctor appointments. I am a domestic violence survivor and I would love to be able to volunteer for people who need my help that are in a situation similar to mine. Even though I'm a survivor of of domestic violence, I still have opened my home over the years to help others in need who needed off the streets.

There's a few times, that I didn't think I would make it, due to my health. It is improving and I am feeling better. I'm so very grateful for the good health that I do have. If I forget to schedule transportation through insurance though, or if the driver is running late, I risk missing my appointments, which has happened a few times. I have several health challenges, but I don't want to list them all here (we'd be here awhile ). If you find it in your heart, or you are moved to donate, please donate to my fund. I'm not looking for a $10k or $30k car. I'm just looking to get $2.5k so I can get a decent, reliable and safe vehicle or transportation.
