2 Corinthians 1:3-7

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.

As many of you may know, Jodi - our sister, daughter, wife, mother, aunt, niece, cousin, and friend to many - was diagnosed with Invasive Ductal Carcinoma Triple Negative Stage 1B Grade 3 in January of this year. This is the most aggressive form of breast cancer hence Grade 3. While this diagnosis was abrupt and life altering, there have been many blessings, such as the early detection by Jodi in the very early stage while the cancer is still localized and as of now does not appear to have spread, the prompt diagnosis and actions of Jodi's doctors, the effectiveness of Chemotherapy, the tumor appears to have shrunk and is not visible on ultrasound, the eventual surgery to remove the tumor marker and a couple of lymph nodes coming in June and radiation for 3 weeks, 5 days after her surgery. This is a fight Jodi took on headfirst with her tenacity and strength for herself and her family and she is winning!

Unfortunately, insurance does not cover the full costs of the treatments, nor the unpaid time off from work for this process. Even though Jodi always looks amazing and never seems to let anything get her down, the truth of the matter is that this is a very strong form of cancer, and this is definitely an uphill battle and one that will take a lot of endurance. We are launching this page to help get Jodi past the finish line, so that she and her family do not have to deal with any added financial stress as they focus on getting Jodi healthy.
