Help Jodi Get Her Smile Back
Donation protected
Hello family, old friends and new friends!
My name is Sami. I am reaching out to all of you on Jodi’s behalf. Jodi is the youngest of Kaye and Jim’s children. She is a sister to Dani/Richard, Brad/Angela, Todd and me. She is Georgia and Cooper’s mom, and a friend of many.
Just a few years back, Jodi worked as an equestrian trainer. She was excellent at her job, loved what she did, and made a good living. Then, Jodi was thrown off her horse. They say that anyone who works with horses and says they've never had a fall is not telling the truth. Unfortunately, Jodi’s last fall injured her back and neck. No one knew it then, but that fateful day was the beginning of an extremely difficult time in Jodi’s life. Doctors were quick to prescribe opioids to ease the pain. Jodi became another victim of the prescription opioid epidemic.
During this dark time, she lost nearly everything. One such loss was her dental health, which has caused her difficulty eating, difficulty enunciating words, and most of all, her self-esteem has taken a big hit.
Today, Jodi is aspiring to get back on the right track and live a clean and healthy life. It is not easy but with our support, she can do it. She has been exploring all options but found that her teeth are beyond repair. She is scheduled for complete extraction in early September. Dental implants is, by far, the best option, but the cost of dental implants is over $30,000. She can get dentures for $9,000. Either way, these amounts are well beyond her reach. I am sharing my sister’s story with all of you to ask for your help in getting her smile back. If you can contribute at all, please do so. Help a little or a lot. Jodi and her entire family are very grateful for anything that you can contribute.
I will keep you informed of her journey to smile again!
