Help Jodi Ecklund Get A New Hip!

Help us raise $25,000 to support Jodi through hip replacement surgery, recovery, and the mountain of medical expenses that have brought her to this point.

If you’ve spent any time at the Clock-Out Lounge on Beacon Hill, you probably know Jodi.
She’s the person behind the scenes making sure artists have a place to play, and the person who has worked incredibly hard to make the Clock-Out a welcoming home for music, artists, community, and connection in Seattle.

Now, Jodi needs her community to show up for her.

It’s finally time for a new hip.

After years of significant pain and mounting medical expenses related to ongoing hip pain, Jodi is scheduled for hip replacement surgery in October.

This surgery is life-changing and desperately needed. But unfortunately, getting the surgery also comes with a huge out-of-pocket cost and copay, on top of the medical debt and expenses she has already accumulated over the past year and a half.

We’re hoping to raise $25,000 to help Jodi cover the cost of her surgery, existing medical expenses, recovery, and the additional costs of being unable to work at full capacity while she heals.

“But she owns a bar…”

Yep, Jodi is a small-business owner.
And it’s easy to look at that and assume that means she must be doing just fine financially.
The reality is very different for most small business owners these days.

The bar and live-music industry has been through extraordinarily difficult times since COVID. Attendance and sales have changed dramatically, and venues that once packed the house are now struggling to fill rooms. Many businesses similar to the Clock-Out have been forced to close their doors altogether.

Jodi has done everything she can to keep the Clock-Out going.
That has included taking pay cuts herself and putting the needs of the business and the community ahead of her own financial security.

She has continued fighting to keep the Clock-Out an amazing place for neighborhood connection, live music, and the incredible artists who depend on venues like this to have a place to perform.
But one person can only absorb so much.

Now Jodi needs some help carrying the load.

For the past year and a half, Jodi has been dealing with increasing hip pain while also navigating the medical bills that have come with it. She has kept showing up, kept working, and kept doing everything she can to keep the Clock-Out thriving.
But this hip replacement can’t wait anymore.
She deserves the chance to focus on getting better without worrying about whether she can afford to do it.

Our goal is to raise $25,000 so that Jodi can have her surgery, take the time she needs to recover, and deal with her medical expenses without the added pressure of financial devastation.

Every donation, large or small, will make a difference.
And if you can’t donate, sharing this fundraiser helps a lot. The more people who see it, the better our chances of reaching our goal.

If the Clock-Out has ever given you a great night out, introduced you to a band you love, given you a place to celebrate, helped you feel at home in Seattle, or simply been a place where you could walk in and know you belonged, this is an opportunity to give a little of that love back to Jodi.

Let’s take care of the person who spends so much time caring for our community.

Thank you for showing up for Jodi. ❤️
