Help Jocelyn Williams support Youth and Families in NC

My name is Jocelyn Williams and I am a Social Worker born and bred in Greensboro, NC. As a Youth and Mental Health advocate I want to reach the children and families that feel forgotten about and need words of encouragement to live their best lives. Times are hard and the youth need more guidance than ever.. along with parents and their support systems. It his difficult to find a safe place to land which is why I taking a leap of faith to make a go fund me to promote my book that encourages self care and overall wellbeing strategies.

Express.Affirm.Find (E.A.F) is black owned activity book for youth 13+ and adults. E.A.F is LGBTQIA+ friendly and provides an opportunity for youth and adults to enhance critical thinking skills, journal/reflect and complete a word search puzzle that correlates with each subject. Throughout my experience at group homes, detention centers, DSS, etc., I used what I have learned from families to form preventative strategies through this resource. E.A.F has 52 topics, is cost efficient and encourages technology breaks!

E.A.F covers the following topics:

-Leadership (What are the qualities of a great leader?)

-Therapy (What are the benefits of therapy? How can therapy help me?)

-Advocacy (Reasons to advocate for yourself include...)

-Grief (Symptoms of grief include..)

-Identifying safe adults (What are the qualities of a safe adult?)

-Parenting (As a parent it is my responsibility to...)

-Friendships (What are the characteristics of a 'good friend'?

-Relationships (What does a healthy relationship look like?)

-Substance Abuse (How can smoking/vaping affect my body?)

-Domestic Violence (How do I know if I am in a dysfunctional relationship?)

-Classroom Behavior (Appropriate behaviors while in school include...)

AND MUCH MORE!!

It has been difficult to reach organizations due to capacity and lack of funding so I am asking for donations so I can provide free books to local middle and high schools in my hometown Greensboro, NC. I would love to start off with Allen Middle School and Dudley High School (youuuuu knoowwww) and grow from there. The sky is the limit!
