I’m sending this out for my daughter Jocelyn. For those of you who don’t know Jocelyn she is 12 years old and a 7th grader at Vista Preparatory Academy.

Jocelyn is a self sustained 4.0 gpa student, I’ve never once had to ask her about homework or grades, she regulates herself. Not only that, but she is involved in multiple community sports and school sports such as, being a veteran Junior Spartan Cheerleader, she is now involved in Top Fuelers Wrestling and her school’s basketball team.

Last school year Jocelyn was nominated by her teachers to be apart of Leadership for her 7-8th grade years for her exemplary grades and overall fundamentals as a student which involves her meeting monthly, with local and state government officials and being a role model in her school. Jocelyn has aspirations of going to Stanford to pursue a degree in either medicine as a Nurse Practitioner or Veterinary Science.

That being said, she has been presented the opportunity to go to Washington D.C. in June and visit all the major historical landmarks. Being as history is one of her favorite subjects she was excited to get the opportunity to go and even received a scholarship to cover a small portion of the costs. However we are a long way to go from the goal being met, we’ve had some amazing sponsors and we are close we just need some help getting there. The payment plans are incredibly expensive to do and for a kid who never asks for much and works so incredibly hard I want to do everything I can to get her there.
