Hi, my name is Jocelyn King. I have always believed in the power of education to change lives, and I’ve dedicated myself to becoming the kind of teacher who makes that difference every day. I earned my Master’s in Education with a 4.0 GPA and hold a teaching license in West Virginia. After moving to Columbus, Ohio, I returned to school to pursue my Ohio teaching license and currently maintain another 4.0 GPA in my licensure program.
Becoming a kindergarten teacher is not just my career goal—it’s my calling. I’m passionate about creating a positive, supportive first school experience for young learners. However, I’ve hit a financial roadblock. My FAFSA eligibility has run out, and despite applying for scholarships and loans, I’ve been denied the funding I need to continue.
I’m asking for help to cover the cost of my next three semesters, required licensure tests (OEA), and associated program expenses such as books or educational subscriptions. Every donation—no matter how small—brings me one step closer to the classroom where I can begin making a difference.
Thank you for reading, supporting, and sharing my story. It means more than I can say.
