My husband’s parents Joyclyn & Ken Ahlm, ages 68, live in Burlington, Washington on Rio Vista Avenue, and lost their home on 12/12/25 to the disastrous flooding taking place in Washington state. Not only have they been displaced, but they have lost the majority of their belongings and now no longer have a place to go home to. This comes after finding out that Ken has colon cancer, and won’t know exactly which stage for another couple weeks.
My husband and I, Eric & Kymber Gustin, have started helping take things out of their home, but all that is salvageable is what was hanging on walls and what was high enough to miss the 8 ft of standing water. Unfortunately it’s not enough to rebuild on, and they desperately need help.
We are super appreciative of all of the kind comments left on the news posts about their chickens kayak rescue, and have been encouraged to start this Gofund Me. Anything helps, and we extend a HUGE THANK YOU to all the amazing people out there who have helped them and are willing to help.
