Hi, my name is Jocelyn, and I’m a 29-year-old mother of four beautiful children. Recently, I was diagnosed with Vasovagal Syncope, a condition that causes sudden drops in heart rate and blood pressure, leading to fainting spells. Since I was five, I’ve also lived with a seizure disorder that began as staring spells and developed into Gran Mal seizures as I got older. These episodes can happen without warning, and while I do my best to take precautions, it’s still terrifying—especially as a mom.
My biggest fear isn’t for myself, but for my children. I worry about collapsing while caring for them, cooking, or simply being alone with them. A trained medical alert service dog could truly change my life. Service dogs for seizure disorders can alert me before or during a seizure, stay with me during an episode, provide deep pressure therapy, help prevent injury during a fall, alert others when I need help, and offer stability and support during dizzy spells.
Unfortunately, properly trained service dogs cost far more than I can afford while managing medical bills and raising four children. I’m asking for help to raise funds to purchase and train a certified service dog, cover travel and handler training costs, and provide necessary veterinary care and equipment. Every donation, share, and prayer means more than you know. This isn’t just about getting a dog—it’s about gaining safety, independence, and peace of mind for me and my babies. If you’re unable to donate, please consider sharing. Thank you for supporting our family during this difficult season. With gratitude, Jocelyn Street
