Help Jocelyn beat Lyme Disease!
My beautiful friend needs your help. Somewhere Jocelyn was bitten by a tick and contracted Lyme disease. Lyme disease is a bacterial infection spread by a tick which is extremely hard to diagnose and treat. It is a chronic, debilitating disease which gives Jocelyn joint pain all over her body, extreme fatigue, headaches and many more symptoms. This disease has left her barely mobile and always feeling like she has a bad flu which has left her unable to work. Her husband also is unable to work because he needs to take care of Jocelyn.
Left untreated Lyme disease can spread to the brain, heart and joint which can completely cripple someone.
She went many months in extreme pain looking for answers. Doctor after doctor, hospital after hospital and nothing. She even went to the U of A hospital and was told nothing was wrong. She got desperate. She shared her story on facebook and a friend reached out told her she needs to see a naturopath doctor out of Grande Prairie who specializes in Lyme disease becuase that's what it sounded to be. She got in to see the Doctor which then sent lab work to Germany ( Alberta does not recognize this disease so they do not properly test or treat it). Test results came back and she tested positive for Lyme disease. It was a huge relief but extremely saddening at the same time because she was diagnosed with a disease that is not treated or covered by Alberta health. With this being said all lab work, appointments and treatments are all out of pocket which is costing thousand of dollars. This disease has hit her family financially huge.
Please help me raise money to help this family get through this hard time and get the treatment Jocelyn needs to fight this battle and get back to her fun energetic self!
