My name is Christine, mother of Greyson, now almost 7 y/o, who went to Joy of Children (JOC) Preschool when he was 4 y/o. Little did we know at that time that going there would have such great impact in our lives forever! And I can truly say this on behalf of so many JOC alumni parents whose child has been blessed to be a part of the JOC family. JOC Preschool has nurtured and empowered so many kids while developing strong minds and kind hearts…for 35 years! 7 years in TX and 18 years here in Folsom. The owners/teachers Ms. Alecia and Ms. Elaine as well as their Joy Makers/assistant teachers, are very passionate about empowering children, teaching them to be kind, loving and respectful while providing a loving, caring, structured environment so the kids come out better prepared for Kindergarten. They really treat our children as their own children, even up to now. Because once you’re a JOC family, always a JOC family! Not only do they empower the kids, but us parents as well. We learned so much about love and kindness, about patience and what truly matters when raising a child.

However, with any form of business, challenges happen. But this year, it has been extra challenging for them to operate and stay open. That’s why my fellow JOC alumni parents and I decided to do this. They say it takes a village to raise kids. Our village needs them! We need them to continue to do their good work for our children and us parents here in our community. We are hoping and praying that this fundraiser can significantly help them continue their great work of shaping the good kids of this community in this challenging economic environment. Thank you!!! Our donations will go directly to them to help some more little human beings experience an opportunity to be nurtured and cared for by really good people who will love and teach them like their own.
