Unfortunately, Joaquin Hipolito 27, was diagnosed with stage 3 choriocarcinoma on 5/12/22, it is a rare form of testicular cancer. This cancer is very aggressive and fast spreading, in Joaquin it has spread in his lung, liver, lymph nodes and lower back.
Joaquin underwent surgery on 5/20/22 an attempt to remove a tumor and obtain a biopsy sample as a result Joaquin had to await treatment plan and a correct diagnosis of his cancer. The following three weeks, Joaquin was in considerable pain during this time and lost 30lbs while waiting for results and correct treatment. This cancer is typically found only in pregnant women making it rare and not commonly treated by the doctors available to him where he lives. On 6/10/22 he’s condition worsened and was rushed to the ER and was admitted to the UTHealth in Tyler Texas, he was there for several days. Monday 6/13/2022 he began his first round of chemotherapy treatment he continued his treatment up until that Thursday and was again rushed to Parkland Hospital in Dallas TX. On 6/23/22 he was released when they were able to stabilize him. He is currently doing better but still has a long fight to go.
Currently, we ask for some assistance to help Joaquin along the way, we know he is overwhelmed with the upcoming appointments and treatments, so we would like to alleviate any additional stress for him. There is no donation too big or too small; any amount will help toward the numerous co-pays that Joaquin may be facing.
He appreciates all the love and support everyone has shown and would like to thank everyone for all the help and for keeping him in your prayers and thoughts.
