HELP JOANNE WITH FUNERAL EXPENSES FOR DERRICK MONTGOMERY

Family, Friends and soon-to-be Friends:

This is a request for immediate support for our dear friend Joanne Wolfe and her son Derrick Montgomery. Joanne has been by Derrick's side as he fights for his life after being hit by a speeding vehicle.

On the morning of Saturday, May 18th, Derrick, a 40-year-old unemployed Son, Father, Uncle, and friend was a pedestrian crossing S.E. 82nd Ave near S.E. Otty Rd. when going unnoticed by a speeding motorist was struck down.

Though improvements have been made, and he is, at times, responsive, Derrick remains in unstable critical condition in the ICU at OHSU. His doctors and amazing support staff see what a fighter he is and they have strong hope for his recovery however, he has a long road ahead. There will be many more weeks in the ICU before he can be downgraded to stable without lung and heart assistance which is giving his organs a chance to become stronger. He is also on temporary dialysis.

Joanne, who lives and works in Everett, Washington, now needs our emotional and financial support. Funds will go towards her incurred and periodic future housing, and travel expenses ( with loss of wages ) and preparation for her son's medical needs once she can take him home.
