How does one even begin to ask for help when she has spent a lifetime of helping others? From being a long time member of the Livermore Community, to marrying the love of her life Aaron, to raising 5 beautiful children (Shaun, Austin, Nicole, Sophia & Dylan) to teaching littles how to read and write for the first time at the LARPD, to coaching soccer, to being the rock of her family, to taking care of patients around the clock and always being there for a friend in need & never asking for anything in return - I introduce to you, this amazing person, JoAnne Hamby-Moreno.
JoAnne and her husband Aaron spent a lifetime in a beautiful small town, nestled with friends and family they had known for decades. It wasn't until the last few years that the Moreno Family yearned for a more simpler life where sunsets were endless just as the blue skies and the clock of life could slow to a minute by minute roll. This is when the opportunity came to move out of state into a beautiful home they could call their very own. Moving day quickly approached and while making the 12 hour drive to their new home out of state, that very night while driving at night is when JoAnne received the phone call no one ever wants to get. Hiding her tears away from her two small children happily belted into their seats behind her, her husband driving in front with the moving truck - the tears began to fall with what felt like heavy raindrops on a dark stormy night.
Cancer.
Upon settling in for the night, half way to their new home - JoAnne kept this news private as to not upset anyone after a full day of moving and driving. Little did JoAnne know that in a few short days she would then be told that not only did she have cancer but that she would also need emergency surgery, chemotherapy and so much more.
Within a matter of a week - JoAnne and the entire Moreno Family have now found themselves to have just moved out of state to enjoy a newly purchased home (their 1st Home), not surrounded by anything or anyone familiar, to now be forced to navigate this cancerous storm....not exactly how anyone would want to start a new journey of moving into a new home.
With all the above being said, these past few days have been incredibly emotional and overwhelming to say the least. JoAnne would NEVER ask for help from anyone, especially in this way and that is why she deserves all the love and financial support she can possibly get at this time.
All donations will go directly to JoAnne's medical bills as Chemotherapy and Surgery are knocking on her doorstep. Your thoughtfulness and generosity will not go un-noticed and unappreciated.
Please help JoAnne kick Cancers A$$!
