Help Joanne keep her family together

Hi, we are friends of Joanne, Carol and Brian.

Joanne is having the worst 2021.

This pandemic has taken a lot from a lot of people, and we know that times are hard for everyone, but we hope that this go fund me will help to ease the pressure from a friend who has been dealt a lot of blows in a short period of time.

Joanne is a hardworking caring individual who just needs a little help.

Joanne was helping care for her partner and best friend who was diagnosed with cancer. She has gone through multiple treatments. chemo and stem cell transplant. While all of this is going on Joanne was also helping her mom and looking after her adult brother who has down syndrome. In July sadly, Joanne's mom passed away so Joanne took on the responsibility of caring for her brother.

The problem is that all the funeral arrangements were made thinking her mom had life insurance, but the insurance company declined her coverage. The government denied her the basic allowance for funerals because her mom was a stay at mom mother and hadn't contributed. So now Joanne being the sole provider of her household has to pay for the funeral costs as well as trying to get legal guardianship for her brother. Lawyers’ fees and filing fees are adding up so fast she can’t keep up.
