My name is Joanne, and for as long as I can remember, I’ve dreamed of going to college. I worked hard in high school, earning many awards and honors along the way. After graduation, I applied for college and was accepted, but just two weeks before I was supposed to move in, I had to back out because I couldn’t afford the costs. It was heartbreaking to put my plans on hold after coming so close to making them a reality.
I’ve always been very independent, and asking for help isn’t easy for me. I haven’t had a strong connection with my parents, who have faced their own struggles, so I’ve tried to do everything on my own. But I want to break the cycle and become the first in my family to go to college. I know that with some support, I can get back on track and pursue the education I’ve wanted since I was 16.
Your support would mean the world to me. Every little bit helps me get closer to my dream of attending college and building a better future. Thank you for reading my story and considering a donation—anything you can give will make a difference!
