In July of 2023 Joanne had an MRI that discovered a brain mass. A biopsy was performed and the placement of Joanne’s tumor makes it inoperable. Since then she has courageously endured 33 radiation treatments and chemotherapy treatments. She has continued to take every length she can with nutrition, keeping active, even through the seizures she now experiences.

Prior to her March 5, 2024 MRI, all her results had been stable, still cancerous, but not worse. Unfortunately, on March 5th that all changed. Joanne’s tumor has grown. This means that the current treatment is not working for her and now she must research and pursue other treatment or clinical trials. In true character she navigates this with a smile and hope. Her local hospital does not have the specific neuro cancer treatment or trials that she needs. Which means she will have to travel and incur many, many medical related costs.
