Help Joanne - Our Friend & Colleague - After Her Sweet Dog Leo’s Emergency Surgery

I’m writing on behalf of my friend & colleague Joanne, who recently went through an emotional and financially overwhelming experience. Her beloved pup Leo required unexpected, emergency lifesaving surgery for Pneumothorax, a rupture of a lung bullae. The total cost, including the operation, was $18,000, all of which needed to be paid upfront.

Thankfully, the surgery was successful and Leo is recovering well. However, Joanne is now left carrying the full weight of this enormous cost.

This GoFundMe is a way for those of us who care about Joanne—or simply understand what it means to love your pet—and give her a little breathing room. She didn’t ask for help, but this was a huge, unexpected out-of-pocket cost.
