Help Joanne Battle Leukemia

Donation protected
For those who don’t yet know, my mom was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia (AML) in September 2021. Her first round of chemo treatment started in early October, but we found out this week that her cancer is not yet in remission, so the second round will probably start very soon. AML is an aggressive form of leukemia that gets worse quickly if it’s not treated, so we’re hopeful her doctors caught it early.

Once her cancer is in remission, she'll be able to come home for a little bit, but she'll eventually be readmitted to undergo a bone marrow transplant. The recovery time for this procedure could be a few weeks, but it's equally possible that it'll be a few months.

For my birthday this year, I started this GoFundMe campaign to raise money for my mom’s hospital bills. It’s unfortunate that it costs so much to be treated for any illness, so it’s my hope that this'll ease the financial burden of those bills. If you can donate to the cause, that would be wonderful! If not, then I simply ask if you could share this with your friends and family and send some good vibes and prayers my mom’s way. We believe she’ll recover and be back better than ever, but this journey is still months from being over.

Together, we can make this scary time a little more manageable for my mom and my family. We're committed to getting her through this, and we know she'll have countless supporters cheering her on until the end. Please feel free to reach out via social media or text if you have any questions, and thank you so much for your help.
