Hi, my name is Alicja, and I am making this on behalf of my sister, Joanna, and beloved Callie (Australian Labradoodle).❤️

No dog deserves to be put through a pregnancy that could kill them. No one should lose their best friend because someone else sees them as a dollar sign.

Callie came into our lives almost 3 years ago, shortly after our biological father passed away. A friend of ours, who was working for a breeder at the time, told Joanna about this puppy looking to find a breeder home. It was perfect timing. Callie quickly became the light of Joanna’s life. The bond these two share isn’t just strong… it’s healing.

The agreement with the breeder was that Callie would live with Joanna, be loved and cared for as her own dog, and have litters for the breeder. Earlier this year, Callie had her first litter, but she developed eclampsia, a life-threatening condition, and nearly died with a 108.6 fever. Multiple vets have strongly advised that Callie should never be bred again for her safety.

Unfortunately, the breeder refuses to accept this and is now suing my sister over this dispute and wants Callie back. For the breeder, this is about money, but for Callie, it could mean losing her life.

I am creating this GoFundMe to help cover the legal expenses needed to fight to keep Callie safe. Every dollar raised will go directly to legal fees, and any leftover funds will be donated to an animal welfare organization.

Joanna is currently in nurse practitioner school, and the legal costs are overwhelming. Every dollar helps.
