As I sit here watching Joanna warming up to start her routines, I'm reminded of all the work and years she has put into for this time of her life. I'm thankful for the scholarships she received when she started her ballet not knowing that it was preparing her for this moment in her life to prepare her for the Special Olympics and USA Gymnastics and hopefully in the future to be able to participate with HUGS (Hope Unites Gymnastics for Special Athletes). That in spite of her disability she has proven that no matter what life throws at you, you can always move forward and show your abilities and not your disabilities. Joanna loves doing rhythmic gymnastics. She loves practicing the rope, hoop, ball, clubs and especially the ribbon, which is my personal favorite. Her dream is to be able to participate in the National Special Olympics one day. Why am I'm sharing all this with you? Well it is our hope that we could raise money to help Joanna continue to participate in the local competitions so that could help her one day participate in the Nationals. Any donation you could give would help not only with competing but also for equipment, registration fees for competing, & travel expenses, also if you could pass this to someone you think might be interested in donating, we also appreciate it. We hope to raise $5,000. Thank you for taking the time to read this and God bless you.
