Hi all!

My name is Joanna, and I am thrilled to share that I have been accepted into Temple University's Film and Media Arts MFA program. This opportunity is a dream for me, as I have always aspired to write, direct, and eventually teach film.

Being accepted into the program is the first step toward making those dreams a reality, but I am facing a significant financial hurdle when it comes to covering my tuition. I still carry debt from undergrad and health challenges in the past have forced me to work part time.I've recieved a stipend and some tuition remission, but there is still a ways to go to get it all covered.

 I will need to work during school, and I anticipate finding a job that fits my needs and schedule will add a bit of stress into my life. 

I am reaching out to my creative collegues, collaborators, and community because I believe in the power of storytelling and education to change lives. The teachers and mentors I've had have changed me for the better and continue to influence my creative practice. I feel like I am finally ready to impact others in the same way.

The funds raised here will go directly toward my tuition, allowing me to focus on my creative projects without the burden of financial stress.
