Jason Herndon's Family Support Fund

When my family and I moved to our neighborhood a couple of years ago, our daughter became fast friends with two identical twins who lived one street over.  Throughout the girls friendship, our family got to know Joanna and her husband, Jason, and their two older children.  

Joanna and Jason met when they were just 14 years old and have been together ever since.  Jason was the love of Joanna’s life, her rock, best friend, and the most caring and loving person she knew.  He was a fantastic and loving father to their four children and had a great and sarcastic sense of humor.  The six of them often went on family hikes and Wednesday date nights were a weekly ritual for Joanna and Jason.

Sadly and tragically, Jason took his own life earlier this week.  Joanna and her children are heartbroken over this loss.  Although they are remaining strong, they are all going through a tremendous amount of pain that many of us will never experience or understand.
