Help Joann Fight for Her Life After a Liver Transplant, now needs a kidney transplant.

We are reaching out for support for Joann Astolfo, a loving mother, daughter, sister, and fighter who has been through an unimaginable health battle. At just 49 years old, Joann spent three months in the hospital, where she nearly lost her life. In late December, she underwent a lifesaving liver transplant, but her struggle is far from over.

Despite her resilience, Joann has lost her state medical aid and supplemental assistance and has been waiting for disability approval for three years, leaving her with no financial assistance for her medical care. She requires dialysis three times a week and is now facing the possibility of both a kidney transplant and hernia surgery in the near future.

Joann lives in Florida with her 72-year-old mother and stepdad, and they are all struggling to get by on his single income. To make matters even more difficult, Joann's mother is also facing her own health issues, adding to the emotional and financial burden on their family.

With her mother relying on social security and Joann unable to work due to her health, they are barely managing to cover basic living expenses, let alone the overwhelming medical bills and necessary medications. Most importantly, Joann is a devoted mother to her two daughters, 23-year-old Joanna and 11-year-old Madison, who need their mom to keep fighting. She is also a beloved sister to Bonnie, who lives in New York, and a loving aunt to her two nieces and nephew. Her family is doing everything they can, but the financial burden is simply too much.
