Hello Everyone. I’m not sure if everyone knows but Joann Dutzar has had one hell of a year medically. This past August 8, 2024 she went into Valley Hospital with an aggravated gallbladder where she was treated with antibiotics. When the antibiotics did not help, her condition got worse and on August 11 she had her gallbladder removed. After surgery she developed two (2) different infections. To make matters worse, when the nurses were cleaning her up they got bile in her eye which resulted in another infection with serious complications . After some time, and when they realized, they couldn’t treat her eye properly at Valley Hospital, she was transported to University Hospital in Newark, as she needed treatment by a cornea specialist with specialized equipment. Joann was finally released from University Hospital to a rehabilitation facility on October 23, 2024. She is currently on dialysis and she has a long road of recovery ahead of her. Her husband Pete has not left her side making sure he is her voice and that she is getting the best care. Pete is currently out of work and on FMLA.

Not knowing how long Joann will be in rehab, this GoFund Me is to help offset costs for medical bills, household bills and funds so Pete and Joey can eat on the run, as I’m sure they miss Joann’s home cooking.
