Joan Garski is a tireless community advocate and proud childcare provider in the Stevens Point, Wisconsin area. Over the past several months, she has shown superhuman strength as she has both acted as a caregiver to her husband Fred and continued her community work, all while running her own childcare business that she relies on to survive.

This past Saturday, May 10th, Joan's husband Fred passed away after a long battle with cancer and other health complications. Joan has been swamped with medical bills, funeral expenses, as well as struggling to maintain her in-home childcare business.

Joan is a private person, and would never ask for help. But we, her friends and community members that Joan has supported, seek to help her with any support that we can during one of the most difficult times of Joan's life. Because while mourning and trying to go through the affairs of a loved one, no one should have to worry about bills.

Funds will go towards medical and funeral expenses.
