Hi, my name is Kristina P. and I am fundraising for a dear friend, Joan Tongawan.

Joan is a beloved friend, colleague, daughter, single mother of two boys (14 y/o and 3 y/o), a caring and devoted nurse. She was a very happy, dependable and strong person who works tirelessly for her children. She is the breadwinner of her family. She is only 42 years old and never would have expected a sudden turn of events on her life.

Two weeks ago when her left arm started to swell. When she was brought in the ED, her test revealed the most gruesome and heartbreaking news that she had a Stage 4 breast cancer. She is unable to work right now as she became progressively weak and in terrible pain. She is waiting for her portacath insertion so they can start her chemotherapy. She was never prepared for this. At the brink of uncertainties, here is a mother, who is more worried about the future of her children more than anything else. A very selfless act. Thinking of inability to support her children, the bills, and many other things to come her way, please let us ease her way. We know that any amount will greatly impact her situation right now. Also, please include her in your prayers. We are praying for miracles.
