If you've met Joan, you know she is vibrant, loving, energetic and full of life. I'll bet she has touched your life with her kindness and generosity, as she has all of ours. Here she is with the youngest of her seven grandchildren.
On March 30th, after feeling ill for several months, she was shocked to receive a diagnosis of Stage IV Colon, Lung, and Liver cancer. Traditional Oncologists do not offer much hope for her, as her illness is serious and advanced. They have recommended chemotherapy, not as a cure but to possibly extend her life, though they cannot guarantee any quality of life with these standard treatments. Joan is the youngest, spryest 75-year-old any of us have met, and she is not ready to give up. She believes she has more good years to live, and wants to enjoy her family, children and grandchildren for years to come. So she is looking for other methods to fight this awful disease.
Dr. Karlfeldt at the Karlfeldt Center in Meridian, ID has spent his career researching and compiling the most effective alternative treatments for patients who cannot expect a cure with chemo and radiation. Joan was able to meet with Dr. Karlfeldt today by phone, and was very encouraged to hear about the intensive Restorative Medicine program he has designed for her, including Photodynamic Therapy, Intravenous, Laser, Oxygen Therapies, Detox Programs, Ionic Footbaths, Therapies for Underlying Emotional Components, Oxidative Supplements, Targeted Nutrition, and more. This program is designed to kill cancer cells, turn off cancer drivers, and support her body's healing in every way possible.
In combination with chemo (which is covered by insurance), these treatments are very promising and have shown tremendous results, but they are not covered under Joan's insurance. This is where we need your help! The center requires payment at time of service, and it will cost about $16,000 over the two-week span of her initial Intensive On-Site Treatment. She travels to Meridian on Monday, June 8th, so this request for help is urgent. Please consider giving to help Joan beat this disease. If you cannot help financially, please help by SHARING this fundraiser! We appreciate each and every donation and share to help heal our beloved Sister, Wife, Mother, Grandmother, and Friend -- thank you so much!
