Hello, my name is Lisa and I am creating this fundraiser for my friend Jo who has recently been diagnosed with bowel cancer. Since this diagnosis Jo has had to cease working which has left her reliant on her hard earned savings to cover daily expenses. Jo will receive government support in 13 weeks or so which will help cover rent.

This fund will greatly help Jo access complimentary medicine (approved by her oncology team) and other costs associated with treatment in order to support her through chemo, radiation & surgery over the next 6-12 months.

Jo's story -

"6 weeks ago I noticed some unusual things happening with my bowels which I went to my Dr about, follow-up scans and biopsy's showed that I had a bowel tumor and was consequently diagnosed with stage 3 bowel cancer.

Next week I will be starting three months of chemotherapy in two week cycles, followed by five weeks intensive (5 days/week) chemo & radiation, and if all goes well, i'll progress to surgery."
