Hi, I’m Jo and I’m raising funds to help get a diagnosis and treatment for sudden and incapacitating medical symptoms I started experiencing about a month ago. What started off as slight light-headedness has quickly turned into constant dizziness. My resting heart rate ranges from 130-170 (normal is 60-100). If I move too quickly, my vision goes black and I faint.

I’m also experiencing excessive sweating, extreme weight loss, heart palpitations, intense tremors, body/joint pain and swelling. I have extreme brain fog most of the time: I’m constantly getting confused. My neck swells up so much that my voice becomes hoarse, breathing is hard and swallowing is nearly impossible. My lymph nodes are swollen and painful. I have started coughing up blood. These symptoms are not normal. It’s frightening to feel this way.

What I have been experiencing has had an incredible effect on my life. Besides feeling terrible health-wise, these symptoms have caused me to lose the wonderful job I started just a few months ago. I now have no medical insurance. I have a son to support, a mother who relies on me for financial assistance and rent to pay with no income coming in. I’m desperate.

I have been trying to get relief for my health issues by going to urgent care and the ER. Tests done there have provided no clear answers. Meanwhile, my symptoms have only become more debilitating. I urgently need to consult with specialist physicians, but with no medical insurance the cost is beyond my reach. I’m doing everything I can to get financial help, but unfortunately there’s a long process involved in applying and then more waiting to see if I even qualify. I’m searching for a new job, but given my health issues, this is very difficult to do.

I feel helpless and am turning to you for financial support so I can start getting some answers and get my life back on track.

I’ve inquired with a specialist about cost. Treatment can cost up to $9,000 and that’s just medical expenses.
