Help Jo Cross the Top Surgery Finish Line

Hi Friends!
Most of you know me as the one who is always there, always steady and lends a helping hand. Today, I need to reach out to all of you.
As many of you know, my name is Jo Heil (he/him/his), and I am a transman. In April of this year, I'm finally having gender affirming top surgery. This has been my goal for as long as I can remember, and one I never thought would actually happen.
I started medically transitioning in 2017 but through a series of life, financial, and insurance issues, I haven't been able to afford this life saving procedure. Thankfully, insurance is covering most of it, but life gets in the way, and the out of pocket portion is suddenly out of reach for me.
In January my partner lost their social security benefits, we're currently working on getting those reinstated. In February my partner was in a car accident that thankfully only totaled my car, but the insurance payout is still on it's way. We're also currently waiting on tax return issues to be sorted.
I have several out of pocket costs that I need to get covered, and I fear that if I can't, it may be another decade before I can afford to get this done. We desperately need a win here, and I'm hoping y'all can help.
So here's the breakdown of funds (because I value transparency):
Out of pocket surgery costs that need paid out by 3/30/22 - 1625
Post Surgical vest that is required for recovery (ASAP as this needs to be ordered and shipped)- 100
Costs to cover lost wages in the time before my short term disability kicks in - 575
Total: $2,300
If you're in a financial position to donate, thank you. If you're not, it's okay - I hope you'll pay it forward to someone else when you are. Either way, thank you for reading and sharing. It means the world to me. I love you all. All surplus funds will be donated to transgender mutual aid funds or related fundraisers.
Thank you. Be safe. I love you.
